How to Grow Olives and Make Olive Oil in Farming Simulator 25
In this guide we set up an olive orchard, grow olives, and then process them into olive oil. Olives are a crop you plant in rows, just like grapes, and they let you experience orchard work in the game. For both crops, the game includes narrow tractors and a wide range of specialized equipment.
When working with olives, you cannot hire workers at all. You have to do every job yourself.

Olive Tree Planting Season: March – April – May – June
Growth Time: 7 months
Harvest Season: October

From March onward we plant our olive trees. To place olive trees, go to Construction menu – Production Buildings – Orchards (Cultivation). Select Olives and plant them in rows on your own land.

Next we apply the first fertilizer. In this guide we use the Berthoud WinAir 1000 from Shop – Grape Tools – equipment that can fertilize and spray across 3 rows.

We apply the second fertilizer pass in July, right after planting season, with the same machine.

As weeds grow between the rows, we maintain the olive orchard with mulching and cultivating. For this you can use Shop – Grape Tools – TMC Cancela TPN 140 mulcher and Shop – Grape Tools – Agrisem Disc-O-Vigne V subsoiler.
Tip: With a front-PTO tractor such as the Fendt 200 V Vario, mount the mulcher on the front and the subsoiler on the rear to do both jobs in one pass.
Note: In the base game, fertilization is the biggest yield factor for olives and grapes. Despite testing every season, I could not gain noticeable yield effects from the mulcher and subsoiler. On the field info card I always saw a maximum yield of about 97%. Variations I tried:
Working the soil with the subsoiler after harvest, then first fertilizing in March, then applying the second fertilizer and mulching together in July.
First fertilizer in March, second fertilizer in July, then subsoiler and mulcher together afterward.
Placing beehives near an olive orchard does not increase yield. I tested this.

The olives grow. At first they are green; when harvest season arrives, black and purple olives decorate the branches.

For harvesting we used the New Holland Braud 9090X Olive from Shop – Olive Harvesters. As the hopper fills, unload into any trailer – there is no olive-specific trailer.
X – Unfolds / folds the harvester (sets working height to tree size).
B – Turns the harvester on and starts harvesting.

I – Unloads into a trailer.

If you want to profit from olive production, sell your olives in June, when demand is highest. Olives sell at their lowest price in November.

For maximum profit, process them before selling. To make olive oil you need an Oil Mill.
Olive Oil Recipe: 25? Olives – 10? Olive Oil

Olives sell for up to about $2,000 per 1,000 liters, while olive oil can sell for about $8,000 per 1,000 liters. Olive oil demand is also highest in June and lowest in November.
