How to Grow Potatoes in FS25 (Planting, Harvest & Production Chain)
In Farming Simulator 25 you can grow potatoes. Potatoes are a crop you can sell directly, and they are also a raw material used in production for products like potato chips and potato soup. Potatoes are also used as feed in pig farming.
Potato Planting Season: March – April
Growth Time: 5 Months
Harvest Season: August – September
To get a 100% yield bonus from a field where you plant potatoes, you can grow a cereal on that field before potatoes, for example wheat. Planting potatoes back to back leaves the yield at 97%. If you plant one period of potatoes and then one period of crops like wheat, barley, or canola, you bring the yield up to 100%.

After this sequence, the potatoes we planted grew at 100% yield on the field.
Tip: When you level a field you have plowed with a (deep) cultivator, weeds do not spawn.

After planting potatoes, the field surface is not covered with a roller. Because it is already a root crop, and because the potato planter covers the planted seed with soil after planting, this step is not needed.
After potatoes are harvested, the field must be plowed again with a plow. Otherwise, a yield drop will occur.
How to Plant Potatoes in FS25
To plant potatoes on a prepared field, you can use a potato planter. To buy one: Shop > Potato Planters > Grimme GL 860 Compacta
To fill the potato planter, you can use potato seeds.
Fill the planter with potato seeds (potato pallets from Consumables, or potatoes saved from a previous harvest and regular seed pack)

Haul harvested potatoes in a trailer and sell them. There is no potato silo. You can dump them on the ground on your farm to stockpile them.
Belts and conveyors can be used to load potatoes. You can also buy the Dewulf Vegetables Pallet from Shop > Vegetables > Consumables, then fill the potatoes you dumped on the ground into pallets with a front loader and sell them. Its capacity is 8000 liters.

If you provide canola oil, sunflower oil, and olive oil and you own a potato processing plant, you can produce potato chips.
