Farming Simulator 25 Winter Season

In Farming Simulator 25, winter lasts for 3 months. During this period, no crops grow, heavy snowfall occurs, and it is a season when crop-focused players can take a break after busy spring and summer months. Even bees stop producing honey during winter.

However, it is an ideal season for players who want to try other gameplay mechanics in the game. In winter, you can experience many activities such as fishing (with the Highlands Fishing expansion), greenhouse farming, livestock farming, and dealing with snow.

Snow is not just a type of weather. In FS25, it was added as a seasonal event that makes tires slip and turns the ground into difficult terrain to move across. That is why some equipment and salt were added to the game so you can gain mobility on the farm and reopen snow-covered paths.

There are 3 useful pieces of equipment in winter: a snow plow, a snow blower, and a salt spreader.

You can open snow-covered paths with a snow plow and a snow blower. To keep the road from being covered in snow again on the following days, you can use a salt spreader.

What You Can Do in Winter

Crops grown in greenhouses are protected from snow and cold. As long as you supply water, greenhouse production continues.

If you work with livestock, you must take care of your animals all year round. If you stocked enough feed and straw during spring and summer, winter passes very easily. If you do not have enough stock, you can keep feeding your animals by buying feed from the shop.

If you are interested in horses, you can keep your horses in shape throughout the winter season. You will have enough time for it.

Winter is an ideal time to organize your farm. You may not get this much free time again to set up both decorative and functional production chain buildings. You can try it during the winter months.

Some of the products you harvested in summer will sell for more during the winter period. If you stockpiled them, you can sell those products in winter.

With the Highlands Fishing expansion, you can head to the lake and go fishing. I do not own the expansion yet, so I am not fully familiar with all of its mechanics.

Explore the map. Buy an ATV and put on your winter gloves. Exploring the map you have played on for days will be seriously enjoyable.

Winter is the best time to repair broken tractors and equipment. Start preparing for the next season. Fix equipment damage by repairing at the shop, and buy missing consumables.

If you are interested in placeable buildings, use your free time to buy the materials those buildings require from the warehouse or produce them yourself, and complete the building progress.
