Farming Simulator 25 Goat Farming and Goat Milk Production
Hello simulatorguides followers, today we’re going to set up a goat farm in Farming Simulator 25 and cover goat farming down to the finest detail. Goat farming is one of the most profitable professions in FS25. It’s possible to earn more income with fewer expenses.
When you set up a goat farm, you’ll produce goat milk. The milk itself already sells for a high price. But by building a dairy and converting the goat milk into bottled goat milk or goat cheese, the profit will be much greater.

Press the “P” key during gameplay to open the store, go to the “Others” section from the left tabs, then click on the “Construction” icon.

On the construction screen, click on “Animals” from the left side, then go to the “Sheep” tab at the top. Yes, sheep and goats share the same barn.

Choose the one that fits our budget and build it on our own land. Now we’re ready to raise goats.

If we’re not going to transport them with our own trailer, and want to buy animals, go to the “Paw” icon on the Goat/Sheep Barn building and press “R“.

In the Animal Buy/Sell screen that opens, scroll down the list and go to the “Goat” section. Here you can buy 3 types of animals: kids at 0 months old, 3-month-old kids ready to mature, or fully grown goats.

8-month-old goats will produce milk (at full level). Young kids, on the other hand, contribute very little to production.
Daily production/consumption of an adult goat

If you’re raising animals below barn capacity, you can raise your own kids. An adult goat (that has completed its 8th month) gives birth to a healthy kid 5 months later.
Since feed costs are very low, raising and selling goats can turn into a separate source of income. But if you want to make serious money from the goat business, we recommend focusing on goat milk production.
What Do Goats Eat?
Goats consume dry hay and grass, just like sheep. If you’re aiming to feed goats right from the start of the game, you can buy dry hay bales from the store.

But if you want to feed goats long-term, we recommend planting grass in a field, harvesting it regularly, and baling it.
You’ll need a front loader vehicle to load bales and transfer accumulated milk to a trailer. In the early stages, front loader tractors will do the job. But we recommend buying a Forklift or a more powerful front loader.

To load feed into the goat barn, you need to dump the bales or cut grass at the spot marked with the feed icon.

When you drop bales at the icon’s location, the feeder will fill up. You can also shred the bales you’ve bought to turn them into chopped feed.

Goat milk starts accumulating in a trigger zone right next to the barn. From there, using a front loader tool and an open-platform trailer, you can load the accumulated goat milk and take it to sell at the dairy.
How Are Produced Goat Milk Sold?
The timing of your sales to the dairy affects the profit you get from the product.

The product called Goat Milk reaches its highest selling price in January ($9,136, may vary depending on game difficulty).

Its lowest selling price occurs in June ($7,613, may vary depending on game difficulty).

If you want to maximize your profit, focus on selling the goat milk you produce in January.
In our next article, we’ll cover the goat milk production chain.
